Dear Visitors, dear Guests and Friends,
Tradition for us is the starting point for a lifestyle that anybody can have only in a land like this. The slow rhythm of time lets you enjoy the local, genuine food. Walking paths burned by the summer sun will lead you towards middle-age villages or, why not, to quiet thoughts and new ideas.
Do come and sample something of the style and quality of our life.
We look forward to meeting you here!

| CHIANTI The region of Tuscany, lying between the ancient cities of Florence and Siena, is one of the most beautiful place in Italy and indeed in Europe. It is a landscape of rolling wooded hills, of olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees, and its extraordinary character has remained unchanged for centuries. The hilltop villages and castles date back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries; the later villas set amongst groves of cypress and pine, were built by wealthy citizens of Florence and Siena to escape the heat of summer. The climate is infact very agreeable from April to October. Today, the Chianti hills remain unspoilt, and are world famous for their wines. They provide the discriminating tourist with an ideal base to enjoy the art centres of Florence, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano and to discover the timeless pleasures of a region which was the cradle of the Renaissance. VAGLIAGLI Vagliagli is a typical Tuscan village set high on its hilltop with views stretching for miles over the surrounding countryside. It grew up around the fortified castle of Aiola, an outpost of Siena, during the endless conflicts with its great rival, Florence. It is now a small cluster of houses 12 km north of Siena, with an excellent restaurant, some food stores and a post office; the main road between Siena and Florence is within easy reach. L’Aiolina is situated just outside the village. |
