From the couple that have created magical Tuscan vacations for you over
the years, now bring this moveable feast to the magical island of Symi,
and our vacation rental Villa Calypso . The Spanish writer Arturo Perez-Reverte
said "for me Heaven is a Greek island". And Symi is the magical
pearl of these Islands.
The small neoclassical settlement that hugs the clear waters
of the Aegean sea helps endow Symi as one of the most beautiful islands
of Greece. It belongs to the Dodecanese archipelago and lies 23 miles
from Rhodes and just 5 miles from Datcha on the Turkish coast.
We have decided to make this investment in Greece in order to offer our
Chianti guests an alternative charming holiday homes with a unique atmosphere. The green
of our Tuscan vineyards is substituted by the deep blue of the Aegean
sea. Symi is listed as a historical and protected site and is on the waiting
list to become a Unesco World Heritage location .
We acquired a plot of land of 3000 square meters right on the sea and
built the villa following the local neoclassical architectural style.
It was our objective to give our guests a special holiday homes in Villa Calypso,
about 10 meters from the clean waters of Nimborio bay, the most elegant
and quiet bay of Symi, about 2,5 km from the port. The interior decoration
is minimalist; all of the furniture and lighting were developed by European
designers and manufactured in Java and Bali, mostly using recycled teak
wood.
Total privacy is guaranteed.
